Models

In 2008 I was in a situation where I had to find a model for a shoot. These are the photos. Casting calls is an odd process. I hated it.

1) "I like being weird". No you're a poser. Loose the pout. Simple.
2) My folks live next door to losers. Ima turn the smoke round on you. Do not give a fuck.
3) Shower burn update: I put in a personal injury claim. It opened up a can of worms. I ended up settling with the landlords. Apparently the original shower unit that caused the accident had been lost by the shower manufacturers when it was sent off for testing. Bullshit. Case over. Newlec New Wave 1000 Shower review.
4) Karma.

The Burn
26 Dec 2011
In October I moved in with my boyfriend into a converted warehouse. In less then 48 hours I had an accident whilst taking a shower. There was a sudden loud pop. I jumped. It took me a second to realise that the shower hose tubing had a break in it and the inner tube had exploded. The sudden burst of extremely hot water had hit the back of my left thigh. It was an electric shower and later on I was told that the water inside a shower unit heats up way faster and hotter than water in a kettle.
Day 2:
I went to the walk-in centre. The doctor had to improvise a dressing. He advised me to immobilise myself if I wanted the blister to burst naturally and help the damaged skin heal. I took his advice as I scar bad. I went back to my folks. I thought I'd be there for a few days and then back to life. I had no idea what I was in for. I had to prop my leg up. I couldn't sit on the loo. I didn't wash for a very long time.
Six days later the blister finally burst.
Day 6:
I decided to take photos of the healing process using my laptop. I did some research on burns and electric showers but found nothing useful so I decided I would blog my story in hope that it may help others.
I went to see my GP. He signed me off work for 3 weeks and gave me antibiotics as he was concerned of an area being infected.
Day 8:
The wound started leaking out more fluids. There was a constant pain. I couldn't walk.
Day 9:
Day 10:
Day 12:
Day 14:
It was smelling like a dead rat. I went to see another doctor. I was given more antibiotics. The doctor used to specialise with burns. He told me he had never seen a hot water burn like mine.
Day 16:
Day 21:
Day 25:
Day 29:
Finally the last bit of scab fell off.
Day 37:
Now I'm currently using a special cream to help with scarring. I'd like to try every treatment to reduce the scar.
The accident should have never happened. I'm never getting that skin back.
